Coated paper (or Coated Mechanical Reels - CMR) is divided into three categories:
- Machine Finished Coated / Film Coated Offset (MFC / FCO)
- Light Weight Coated (LWC)
- Medium Weight Coated (MWC)
These papers have either a glossy or matt finish. They are used mostly for catalogues, magazines and advertising material using rotogravure or offset printing. All three variants are suitable for heatset printing. LWC is also ideal for gravure printing.
