Paper wins the Publishing Prize
Last year was a successful one for our customer magazine Paper, winning two prestigious awards. This year, Paper is once more acknowledged for its content and design, placing second (silver medal) at the Swedish Design Award in Gothenburg, October 19, and winning the customer magazine B2B category at the Publishing Prize awards in Stockholm on October 23..
”For excellent form, interesting reading and attractive design – stimulating!”
This was the jury’s motivation when announcing Paper as the winner in the category Customer magazine B2B, competing against publications from esteemed brands like Sveaskog and Bristol Myers-Squibb. Indeed an honourable award.
Paper plays an important role in Holmen Paper's market communication. Besides being a strong product sample and an inspirational channel in its own, it also serves as a content hub, providing editorial material for other channels, not least the digital ones.
Reaching subscribers worldwide, Paper promotes innovation, print, sustainability and, it goes without saying, the power of paper. The idea is not to talk about ourselves, but rather about subjects that we think might interest our existing and potential customers”, says André Skagervik, Marketing & Communications Director at Holmen Paper. “This way we hope to increase the awareness of Holmen Paper as a brand, by inspiring, sharing knowledge and creating added value to our subscribers.
Outstanding design, matching the paper
Paper is produced in cooperation with content agency Åkesson & Curry, and is printed on Holmen TRND 80 gsm with a cover made from Invercote by our sister company Iggesund Paperboard. Creating a great print product in our own paper gives us a chance to show what our products can do, matching the content with the touch and feel of the paper. Holding on to the slightly odd format and the challenging design through all three issues has laid a ground for success so far. Right now we are putting the final touch to Paper #4, issued in the beginning of December.
Dynamic team work
Ulrika Häggroth, strategist and project manager at Åkesson & Curry, has been working with the magazine since the beginning.
Paper is so much more than a magazine. Åkesson & Curry makes a lot of good magazines but Holmen Paper dares to go the extra mile, and that makes working with Paper so much fun. It’s a very dynamic, stimulating and creative teamwork, which I believe is what makes the magic. Each issue is unique, the magazine develops and we develop with it.
