Being part of society
To show respect
We´d like to think of Holmen as having a soul. What else can you call a tradition that started 400 years ago, and that has grown ever since? Of course, the times have changed, but so has the way we behave according to the tradition. So, we insist, Holmen has a soul. A soul, that forms our role in society, as an employer, business partner and tax paying corporation.
We support the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, the eight fundamental conventions of the International Labor Organization and OECD’s guidelines for multinational companies. We have high standards of employee care to meet as laid out in labour laws and collective agreements.
Our Code of Conduct is based on these principles and clarifies and emphasizes the expectations on employee behaviour in day-to-day activities. Breaches of the Code of Conduct can be reported by employees or other stakeholders through a whistleblower function.
