It’s more like the other way round. As the owners of large areas of forest, we take long-term responsibility for the forest and replant two trees for each one we fell. This responsibility means that Holmen has contributed to Sweden now having a 50 per cent greater forest volume than 80 years ago, and that the forested area in Europe is now 30 per cent bigger than in the 1950s.
